“Nations will fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth will fear your glory.” (Psalm 102:15)

The Northeastern Region of Morocco, sometimes known as the “Oriental” Region because of its relative proximity to the trade routes to the Eastern World, is a patchwork region of several cultures, language groups, and geographic features. Diversity abounds. A mix of coastal lands and mountainous zones, the economic potential of trade, fishing, tourism, and agriculture should equate stability for this region, but instead it is relatively poor. The stomping grounds of the Rif Berbers who are primarily known for their involvement in the growing and distributing of drugs has kept heavy governmental scrutiny on the area making it difficult for Believers to share in the region and keeping them trapped in fear. Cultural differences and geographic barriers have kept Believers in the region isolated and disconnected from one another.

Pray for the Rif Berbers that they would be set free from the bondage of the illegal drug trade of hashish. Ask that Father would bring the various Believers together and knit them in unity to one another much as His Spirit covered over the differences of the early Church believers.

“And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need… and the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:42-47).

As believers in Morocco seek to be living out these verses, would you, Lord, please add daily those who are being saved. We pray for unity among your church in Morocco. Though your followers in Morocco may have differing strengths, gifts, and expressions of Your Spirit, may there be no division.

“A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up…When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.” (Matthew 13:3b-4 and 19)

In order for Gospel saturation to be reached across Morocco, the Holy Spirit must pour out a spirit of revelation and understanding, and protection must be declared so that the enemy doesn’t steal what was sown. Pray this today for Morocco.

God, we worship You because You will come to our rescue! We worship You because You will come to Morocco’s rescue…
