PRAY THE PICTURE

Every day, we invite you into the ancient spiritual prayer practices of Lectio and Visio Divina. Each day you will be given a picture to meditate on in prayer, Visio Divina or “eating/digesting the image,” asking the Holy Spirit to prompt things from the image for you to pray into and to fill the image with spiritual meaning. Most of these visuals will connected to the concept of “Saturation” and will be connected to the insights included in each day’s prayer fuel.

We encourage you to start your prayer time each day by sitting in silence with the picture and listening for the Holy Spirit’s direction. It might also be meaningful to return to the image after you have read the additional pieces of the prayer fuel, using it to wrap up your time of intercession and giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to speak through it on even deeper levels. May you be blessed as you engage your Creator in visually inspired prayer.

PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT

We have a God of invitation. He’s not demanding, but He’s not passive. He’s not pressuring, but He’s also not into the mass mailer. He is a God of the personal, costly invitation. As we ask for saturation in Morocco, we can be assured that there is a personalized invitation with the name of each of the 36 million Moroccans lovingly hand-engraved on the front, stacked and ready to be delivered—by hand, by foot, by website, by ‘chance’ encounters, by natural revelations and supernatural experiences, by any means He deems necessary. He is a relentlessly pursuing God and He is after the heart of each Moroccan. His invitation is not for the select few, the choice invitees. Instead, Matthew 22 shows us that people of all social standing, at all economic levels, from all cultural backgrounds will be extended the invitation. But this passage also warns us that many will be invited, and few will accept. As invitations are delivered many are torn up, spat on, mocked, debated, and flatly refused. How this hurts the hearts of the messengers! How this breaks the heart of the Father.

Pray today for more messengers to carry the invitation to Morocco. Ask for hearts prepared to lay down their efforts to purchase their ‘tickets’ and instead receive their invitations. Ask for many to be touched by the truth that God knows their name and calls them “Beloved.” Ask the Spirit to guide and direct His messengers to the right people, with the right Word, in the right moment. Ask for creativity as many labor to get the invitation out to each of these precious 36 million. Ask for resilience and anchored identities for the situations when Believers encounter the truth of this parable that “few will accept.”

PRAY THE WORD

Each day, as we engage the practice of Lectio Divina, “eating/digesting the Word,” the Scripture we will pray comes from a community of prayer from within Morocco that has been praying Saturation over Morocco.

Adjective: “Saturated”—holding as much water or moisture as can be absorbed; thoroughly soaked
Noun: “Saturation”—the degree or extent to which something is completely absorbed

This group is daring to pray audacious prayers of saturation—asking for God’s Kingdom to come to Morocco to such an extent that it is completely absorbed in His truth, presence, and transformation. Keep this in mind as you pray these Scriptures and join with those who are already praying audacious prayers on behalf of Morocco.

Psalm 29:3-10 “The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the mighty sea. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars; the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf; he makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning. The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!” The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever.”

Pray for all that the powerful voice of the Lord wants to do as his Word is released to saturate the nation of Morocco.

PRAY THE SONG

God, we pray for a multitude of people to receive and respond to your invitation to the marriage feast!  We are getting ready and long for many Moroccans to receive this invitation to come and feast with You, Lord Jesus…
