PRAY THE PICTURE
Every day, we invite you into the ancient spiritual prayer practices of Lectio and Visio Divina. Each day you will be given a picture to meditate on in prayer, Visio Divina or “eating/digesting the image,” asking the Holy Spirit to prompt things from the image for you to pray into and to fill the image with spiritual meaning. Most of these visuals will connected to the concept of “Saturation” and will be connected to the insights included in each day’s prayer fuel.
We encourage you to start your prayer time each day by sitting in silence with the picture and listening for the Holy Spirit’s direction. It might also be meaningful to return to the image after you have read the additional pieces of the prayer fuel, using it to wrap up your time of intercession and giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to speak through it on even deeper levels. May you be blessed as you engage your Creator in visually inspired prayer.
PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT
Over the past many years, a similar picture has come to people’s mind as they pray for Morocco. The image is of a dam with cracks in it and which eventually breaks to flood the whole land. We believe this dam represents barriers holding back the Presence of God, but the cracks reveal the weakening of these strongholds and soon they will come down altogether allowing the nation to be flooded with His Presence and Truth! Another variation of this image was especially meaningful to those who live inside the old walled cities or “medinas” throughout this land—a unique experience that brings Biblical imagery to vibrant life. In this image, cracks are seen spreading across the massive walls that surround the cities, caused, in Jericho-like fashion, by vibrations in the foundations. These vibrations represent the prayers being raised on behalf of this nations by the many who live inside of its walls, and by those who “march around the outside” in prayer—who pray for a place they have yet to see or enter (or no longer remain), but march with Joshua-faith around its edges in faith that God will deliver her.
Thank you, Lord, for this image that has repeatedly come into the minds of intercessors as they have prayed for Morocco! Because of this, we can have confidence in prayer that this is your plan! We thank you for the increasing weakness of the enemy’s plans as represented by these cracks in the dam. We pray that people would see the falsehood in what they have been taught. We pray for the barriers that keep people from entering the Kingdom to be removed so that everyone will have access to the truth. We declare the breaking of this spiritual “dam” so this nation can be flooded with a revelation of the Son! Ask that the walls of lies erected by Islam will come tumbling down, and that both the Joshua’s and the Rahab’s of this nation will be faith-filled, prayer-full, and that the vibrations that are going out in this month will wreak havoc on the Enemy’s strongholds and foundations in this nation.
PRAY THE WORD
Each day, as we engage the practice of Lectio Divina, “eating/digesting the Word,” the Scripture we will pray comes from a community of prayer from within Morocco that has been praying Saturation over Morocco.
Adjective: “Saturated”—holding as much water or moisture as can be absorbed; thoroughly soaked
Noun: “Saturation”—the degree or extent to which something is completely absorbed
This group is daring to pray audacious prayers of saturation—asking for God’s Kingdom to come to Morocco to such an extent that it is completely absorbed in His truth, presence, and transformation. Keep this in mind as you pray these Scriptures and join with those who are already praying audacious prayers on behalf of Morocco.
Ephesians 3:20 “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”
Ask the Lord to do “infinitely more than we might ask or think” as we pray into existence a nation completely soaked, absorbed and overflowing with the Good News and transformation of the Kingdom.
PRAY THE SONG
God, your promises will come to pass. So we hold to Your promises for faithfulness to the nation of Morocco. Do what you have done in “impossible” places and transform this nation by Your Spirit…
