PRAISE

“All the [Moroccan] nations You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your name.” (Psalm 86:9)

PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT

The nation of Morocco is blessed with a diverse and spectacular landscape, which reflects itself in a culturally diverse population. This nation is rich with history, oozing culture and unique experiences, from laid-back, artsy coastal towns; to high mountain Berber villages with their preserved cultural heritage; to ancient medinas or walled cities, full of people happy to welcome travelers and to share their pride in their homes; to the incomparable sand dunes of the Sahara Desert peppered with camel-herders, the Sahawari peoples, and Bedouin tents. The country is divided into 12 governmental regions that often ignore both cultural and environmental boundaries, but that nonetheless divide this densely-packed little nation into bite-sized sections for us to lift up to the Father individually in the coming days.

Today, praise the Father for His rich creativity as is reflected in the diversity of this nation’s geography and peoples, with each local tribe and language group having unique characteristics to contribute to the global Bride of Christ, and each of whom are promised to be gathered around the Throne in the new Kingdom of Heaven.

PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS

“I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth… and the word of the Lord was spreading throughout the whole region.” (Acts 13:47,49)

Thank you, Father that You want Your Word to spread throughout all 12 regions of Morocco, and that your heart is for all people, not a select few. We pray for all the people groups in all the regions of this nation. We agree with Your word today Lord and pray that it would spread throughout the whole nation of Morocco and beyond into North Africa.

PRAY FOR SATURATION

What does it look like for a region to be saturated with the Gospel? In Acts, Paul shares that in a short period of time an entire geographic area was covered by his work of evangelism. “This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord” (Acts 19:10). All the people heard the Word of the Lord?! This is amazing.

Paul was in the business of saturating regions with the Gospel and then moving on. Romans 15:23 says, “But now I have finished my work in these regions, and after all these long years of waiting, I am eager to visit you.” There was no more work for him in these regions! We long to see this happen in Morocco too! If every person in Asia can hear the Word of the Lord surely it can happen in our nation. If there can be no place left for Paul in the regions he worked in, surely the workers here can see such a move of God that they are no longer needed and must move on.

Pray with us for ALL the people in Morocco, both Arab and Berber, to hear the Word of the Lord in the next few years. Pray that there would no longer be need for foreign laborers but that instead they would be able to say they finished their work in this nation and could move on to another place. Pray for complete gospel saturation in this currently unreached land.

WORSHIP

God, we are asking for EVERY ONE, in EVERY CORNER to hear. We worship You, because we know that’s Your heart, too…
