“The Lord has made known His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the [Moroccan] nations.” (Psalm 98:2)
PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT
A Ramadan motivational video holds this quote to encourage Muslims to pray the obligatory 5 times a day: “Pray, my brothers, you will earn Allah’s love. Pray and you will earn his mercy and forgiveness.”
Do you feel the heaviness of the burden from the word EARN? May our hearts be heavy today with the fact that these dear ones are always trying to earn their own righteousness…but especially so during this month of Ramadan. Many Moroccans are trapped by the enemy in a religion of works. Daily they repeat the cycle of trying to do enough to pay for their redemption…and even then, never in confident hope that God would grant it.
As Ramadan continues, pray today for the confident hope that is theirs, not by anything they do to earn it but because of the free gift of forgiveness through Jesus.
“But now a righteousness from God, apart from the law, has been made known…this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified FREELY BY HIS GRACE …” Romans 3:21-24
PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS
“And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as He did to us…” (Acts 15:8)
Thank You for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit! May every believer in Morocco grow in discerning His leading and quickly obey all He tells them to do. May the Spirit give all believers in Morocco grace toward one another resulting in the strengthening and multiplying of Your Church in this land.
PRAY FOR SATURATION
For saturation of the Gospel in Morocco, it will take an outpouring of the Holy Spirit across the whole nation. In Joel 2:28-29, the Lord promises to do just that! “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also, on My menservants and on My maidservants. I will pour out My Spirit in those days.”
Pray for a Joel 2 outpouring of the Holy Spirit over Morocco! Pray for Moroccans to dream dreams and see visions of Jesus. Pray that the whole nation, from the northernmost city to the southernmost village, will experience this saturation of the Holy Spirit’s presence and power!
God, you promised that you would come to dwell with your people – and You did. So, come, Lord, come and do it again. Come pour out your Spirit like you promised and rain down your love, grace, and mercy on our Moroccan friends…
