PRAISE
“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us, that Your way may be known on earth, Your saving power among all [Moroccan] nations.” (Psalm 67:2)
PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT
The Tarawih prayers throughout Ramadan make their way through the reciting of the entire Quran and like any corporate prayers during Ramadan, they’re worth exponentially more merit on the goodness scale (and when you live in the belief that your life is a scale of weights and balances between your good and bad deeds and only your own works can balance them, it’s always helpful to accomplish those extra Ramadan “points” each year). One of the main criteria for the validity of prayers is the existence of communication between the Imam and the people following him through the prayers. Thus, it is of the utmost importance that prayer happens in community, being led by an Imam—and exponentially so during Ramadan when works are “worth more”.
Since the beginning of time, Satan has been a deceiver of mankind. He has always been an expert at stirring up questions and doubt against what is true, and packaging lies as truth. As you consider two of the lies that Moroccans are under: that they cannot have access to God themselves and that forgiveness can only (hopefully) be achieved through works, pray today for a lifting of this deception and an awakening to the access Jesus extends to them and the forgiveness he offers them through His grace!
PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS
“And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and their boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him. Yet He is actually not far from each of us…” (Acts 17:26-27)
Lord, may the many seeking You in Morocco today, know Your accessibility through Jesus Christ. We confess your sovereignty, even in difficult seasons, where Satan’s lies run rampant. We pray, Father, that You would use these circumstances to draw many to Yourself.
PRAY FOR SATURATION
As we continue to ask the Lord to saturate the Kingdom of Morocco with His truth, pray this prayer:
~ Lord TEND to your seeds of truth planted across Morocco. We claim their ability to take root today. 🌱
~ Lord PROTECT your seeds of truth planted across Morocco. We claim their ability to sprout today. 🌾
~ Lord MULTIPLY your seeds of truth planted across Morocco. We claim their ability to spread today. 🌿
WORSHIP
God, we worship You, because, while we sow in people’s ears, You are the Sower of the seeds of Truth in people’s hearts…
