PRAY THE PICTURE

Every day, we invite you into the ancient spiritual prayer practices of Lectio and Visio Divina. Each day you will be given a picture to meditate on in prayer, Visio Divina or “eating/digesting the image,” asking the Holy Spirit to prompt things from the image for you to pray into and to fill the image with spiritual meaning. Most of these visuals will connected to the concept of “Saturation” and will be connected to the insights included in each day’s prayer fuel.

We encourage you to start your prayer time each day by sitting in silence with the picture and listening for the Holy Spirit’s direction. It might also be meaningful to return to the image after you have read the additional pieces of the prayer fuel, using it to wrap up your time of intercession and giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to speak through it on even deeper levels. May you be blessed as you engage your Creator in visually inspired prayer.

PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT

As many living across Morocco pray for Gospel saturation, the Holy Spirit gave a prophetic vision of countless waterfalls coming down from heaven falling at different points across Morocco, pooling, spreading and overflowing across the nation. Ezekiel 47:1-12 describes a vision of a river flowing with increasing measure from the temple (like that mentioned in Revelation 22) which brings life and healing. Wherever the river flows things are made alive and on the banks of the river there are fruit trees producing an abundance of fruit in every season. Water is the bringer of life. At the same time, when the seed is sown the soil must receive it and roots must go deep to withstand storms and access underground streams in a dry climate. Jeremiah 17:8 describes a believer who is like a strong, thriving tree: “For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Please use these passages and visuals as you pray for the river from God’s throne to flow in Morocco! Pray for a river of living, healing waters to saturate this nation in increasing measure. Thank the Lord that it has begun to flow and we will see it come up to our knees, chests and then over our heads! Pray for salvation, new life, for each person the river touches. Pray for physical and emotional healing. Finally pray for lasting, abundant, and continual fruit! Pray for believers in Morocco. Without strong, storm-weathering, deep-rooted followers, the Gospel will not spread in this nation. Pray not only for the nation to be saturated with the Good News, but for the deep roots in those who believe so they can weather the storms with unshakable faith. Pray that they would be fearless and fruitful as they proclaim the Gospel!

PRAY THE WORD

Each day, as we engage the practice of Lectio Divina, “eating/digesting the Word,” the Scripture we will pray comes from a community of prayer from within Morocco that has been praying Saturation over Morocco.

Adjective: “Saturated”—holding as much water or moisture as can be absorbed; thoroughly soaked
Noun: “Saturation”—the degree or extent to which something is completely absorbed

This group is daring to pray audacious prayers of saturation—asking for God’s Kingdom to come to Morocco to such an extent that it is completely absorbed in His truth, presence, and transformation. Keep this in mind as you pray these Scriptures and join with those who are already praying audacious prayers on behalf of Morocco.

Revelation 22: 1-5 “Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations. No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.”

Pray for Moroccans to learn how to access the living water that flows straight from the throne of God that brings life, fruitfulness, healing, freedom, light, and belonging.
