Pray with Insight
Today’s Prayer Fuel
“Summon Your power, God; show us your strength, our God, as You have done before.” (Psalm 68:28)
PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT
You can walk down almost any given street in Morocco and find trash. Piles of rubbish like this one are not hard to come by. When the King of Morocco does tours through his country, the cities he visits suddenly become transformed. Trash gets picked up, pot holes get filled in, fresh paint gets painted on curbs and buildings. What once was trashy and ill-kept suddenly becomes fresh and transformed. But once the King has come and gone, the trash returns, the paint fades and everything goes back to the way it was before. The beauty was all a facade. Ramadan is very much this way as people clean up outwardly but have absolutely no transformation of the heart.
But what if the King of Kings shows up to permanently reside and establish His Kingdom? Then we would see a permanent beautification, an eternal transformation; a removal of the garbage of lies and freedom from the ugliness of deceit.
Be praying today for the permanent clean-up, the lasting beautification and the eternal transformation that comes when THE KING comes.
PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS
“But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.” (Acts 8:12).
Lord, we ask You to empower believers in Morocco to preach the good news of the Kingdom and prepare multitudes of men and women to respond and be baptized. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in Morocco.
PRAY FOR SATURATION
God reveals His heart for saturation to the prophet Jeremiah:
“This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘When I bring them back from captivity, the people of Judah and its towns will again say, ‘The Lord bless you, O righteous home, O holy mountain!’ 24 Townspeople and farmers and shepherds alike will live together in peace and happiness. 25 For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.’” (Jeremiah 31:23-25)
In this verse we see God referencing those who live in cities and towns, those that farm in the rural areas, and even those who wander alone with their sheep on the hillsides. To all of them, He promises peace, happiness, and rest.
Pray for those in the many cities throughout Morocco—the major metropolitans of Tangier, Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, and Marrakesh; the smaller coastal towns of Asilah, Tetaoun, Safi, and Mohammedia; the rural agricultural areas of Beni-Mellal, Draa-Tafilalet, and Agadir; the sheep herders in High and Middle Atlas mountains and the camel herders dotting the Dunes of the Sahara.
God, we worship You because we know that no matter what happens, no matter the cost, You are worthy of it all…
