PRAISE

“I will cause Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore nations [including Morocco] will praise You forever and ever.” (Psalm 45:17)

PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT

“My name is Fatima. I am 90 years old and have lived through many Ramadans. These days, I am very frail and sick and spend most of my time in bed. I can no longer take the prayer positions on my knees, so I pray sitting from a chair. This is unfortunate because my prayers are more acceptable if I could pray in the positions the prophet Mohammed instructed us to. I have diabetes and so, culturally, I am exempt from fasting. There are other exemptions besides sickness, like, pregnancy and menstruation, but we women must make up for it in other ways and times. So, for the sake of balancing the scales of my life, I fast during Ramadan anyway. Perhaps Allah will notice the extra sacrifice it takes on my part and have mercy on me in eternity. I like to think it brings me more merit to fast in my condition. Oh, Allah, take notice of my sacrifice and have mercy on me.”

Pray for Fatima and those she represents as they strive to live a life that leaves them wondering as death approaches, hoping that their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds. Pray that they would come to know that mercy isn’t offered to them because of what they do but because of what Jesus already did.

PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS

“From morning till evening he expounded to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets.” (Acts 28:23)

Pray that Father would continue to equip Believers throughout Morocco to testify convincingly and relentlessly of Your Kingdom. Ask for the stamina to proclaim Truth tirelessly from sunup to sundown and through the night when it’s warranted. Pray that He would soften hearts in every generation throughout the land to believe in this glorious message!

PRAY FOR SATURATION

Saturation is not just a geographic concept, spanning regions and kilometers. It’s also a time concept, spanning hours and generations. When we are asking God to saturate the nation of Morocco, we are asking for a movement so wide and broad it results in a Moroccan Church spread out world-wide that is praising the name of God twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. We are asking for believers from every generation of Moroccans—those so far in years they still remember the days of occupation, and those so young they do not yet have a concept of the pandemic. We are asking God for a move of His Spirit that is so vast no group is left unaffected, by location or stage of life.

Pray blessing today on the many generations currently represented in Morocco. Pray for those in the winter of their lives, living out their final days as their bodies and minds fail them. Pray for those stretched by supporting families in both directions as they care for aging parents and raise small children simultaneously. Pray for the many disenfranchised young people who have found no employment opportunities. Pray for the teens navigating one of the most tumultuous seasons of their lives with no spiritual anchor. Pray for the children who are taught early on that aggression, physical or verbal, is their only protection. Pray for the babies being born this year whose very first moments of life will contain a series of lies being literally whispered into their seconds-old ears.

WORSHIP

God, we worship You for Your favor, that You continue to heap on us, from generation to generation, undeserving as we are…
