PRAISE
“The Lord has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the [Moroccan] nations.” (Psalm 98:2)
PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT
“My name is Aicha. I am 12 years old and this is my first Ramadan to fast all month long. Last year, my mother had me fast every third day in preparation for this year. Now that I am becoming a woman, my sin is on my own head and I must atone for it myself. My name means ‘to live’ but I feel no life as I take full part in the fasting culture around me. My parents fight a lot during the month of Ramadan. I think it is because they’re hungry and grumpy and my father can’t smoke. If I don’t feel or see any life in this, does it mean God does not accept my fasting? What if He doesn’t? What then?”
Pray for Aicha and all the children she represents in Morocco who are growing up being taught a religion of works and scales. They grow up with the burden of doing good works for Allah who may or may not accept them and their good deeds. Pray that they and their families would encounter the God of love and grace.
PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS
“The Lord opened her [Lydia’s] heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. And after she was baptized, and her household as well…” (Acts 16:14-15)
Lord, be drawing these influential women to Yourself, that they may lead their children to You, and raise them in the freedom You provide, Jesus! Please, repeat Lydia’s story over and over again in every region of Morocco.
PRAY FOR SATURATION
Saturation means a landscape change across Morocco with seeds taking root, growing and multiplying across the land. Pray, too, for the ‘seedlings’ of Morocco—the children. Take some moments to use the above picture to pray to that end.
WORSHIP
God, we worship You because we know You are moving in Morocco, preparing the way for revival…
