PRAISE
“Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the [Moroccan] nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10)
PRAY WITH CULTURAL INSIGHT
For local believers, especially those living with unbelieving family, Ramadan is a very trying time. Because of the nation’s laws, if locals are found to be eating during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan, they can be sentenced to months in prison. This leads many believers to keep up appearances that they are fasting even as they eat in private. Some believers, however, have chosen to be bold and are willing to face the consequences of not following the Ramadan fast.
Pray for believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit during Ramadan. Pray for them to have wisdom and guidance from the Lord in whether they fast during this time and for this decision to be rooted in love, not fear. Pray for many open doors for them to share the Good News and how they have been delivered from acts that lead to death (Hebrews 6:1) so they can serve the living God through faith in Jesus Christ.
PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS
“So I always take pains to have a clear conscience toward both God and man.” (Acts 24:16)
Lord, give Believers in Morocco perseverance in going to such pains as Paul describes here. May it result in many friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors being drawn to a God who brings transformation from the inside out. Give them wisdom and gentleness as they navigate the complexities of this month, that they may have clean consciouses before You. Assure them that, in Your Presence, they are never alone.
PRAY FOR SATURATION
Recently, in pursuit of saturating every corner of Morocco with access to the gospel, a total of 45 Moroccan believers from all across the country gathered at different points in time to discuss and discover together how to share the gospel with those around them in a way that multiplies in reproducible ways. Many plan to continue to meet together to pray, grow, learn and hold one another accountable toward the task of seeing movements of disciples and churches ignited across Morocco.
Pray for your Moroccan brothers and sisters today:
~ for how God wants to use their effort and boldness to reach every corner of Morocco
~ for the power, revelation and blessing of God to go with their gospel sharing efforts
~ for unity among them as they continue to learn, grow and work together
~ for more Moroccan believers to rise up, ready to pursue saturating every corner of Morocco
