“Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter. Who is the King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty; the Lord, invincible in battle. Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter. Who is the King of glory? The Lord of Heaven’s Armies— he is the King of glory.” Psalms 24:7-10

If you traveled across Morocco, you would have the joy of seeing some beautiful and detailed artistry. One special look that never runs out of variety are doors. Some have ornate wood carving, others incorporate beautifully set mosaic tiles, detailed molding or hand chiseled metal work. Many of these doors open up into homes, into lives and into the families that make up the communities around them. But a majority of these doors are spiritually closed, unquestionably locked into the religion they know without any idea that the glory of God desires to enter and live inside them.

As you look at this photo with its variety of doors, visualize in prayer the homes and families they represent and pray for open doors across the nation so that the shekinah glory (the dwelling or settling of the manifest divine presence) of our God can be welcomed in to set up permanent residence among families, igniting a movement of His hope and salvation.

“And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Acts 3:25b)

Lord, please fulfill your promise to Abraham among the many Moroccan families behind each of these doors spread from the north to the south.

Our Moroccan brothers and sisters who are sprinkled across the country are the ones that will ultimately carry this vision of saturation into fruition. They are the ones who can be a light to those around them. They know better than anyone their culture, their language, their people and how to reach them. They are key to the spread of the Gospel to every corner of Morocco.

Let’s pray today for our brothers and sisters:
~ that they would have hearts full of passion and vision for their fellow countrymen who live in darkness
~ for a calling from the Holy Spirit into this task of reaching their own people
~ for knowledge and ability to multiply themselves
~ for opportunity and boldness
~ for unity and working together toward the goal of seeing every corner of their country saturated with the Gospel

God, we worship You because You long for us to thrive!
