Jesus - Lord Over All Things
Take a few moments to reflect on the weight of these words regarding the authority that is given to Jesus
“…to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”
“…He (Christ) is the head over every power and authority.”
Name of God
Begin to worship our God who is all-powerful. Keep this name in mind as you worship and pray.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness and into his wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9
(Meditate on this scripture and continue when ready)
As God’s people who have already been brought out of darkness and into his wonderful light, begin worshipping The One who has authority over all things and who has power to change darkness to His light.
Declare out loud the praises of The One who holds all authority
Worship Him on behalf of Moroccans who have yet to submit to Christ’s authority
(Continue when ready)

As you focus your prayers toward Morocco, take some time to praise the Lord for ways that he is revealing his authority over all things to Moroccans.
(Continue when ready to read testimony of praise!)
On a prayer walk through their city, two believers in Jesus came upon a location that is known for demonic activity. There was stream with a little bridge. Under the bridge were candles lit but no one present.
(Picture this scene and continue when ready)
While praying nearby, they noticed a family walk up with a man, Abdullah. As the family handed him items like bread, sweets and spices he began chanting and throwing them into the stream as offerings to jinn (arabic for evil spirits). Then he took a live chicken from them, sacrificed it, and sprinkled some of the blood on each family member.
(Consider and continue when ready)
Afterwards, the two believers in Jesus were able to meet and visit with the man who had performed the sacrifice. He invited them into his home and they were able to share with him about Jesus’ sacrifice, his blood and his authority over all things.
Pray that Abdullah will continue to read these words and surrender his life to the One who has all authority in his hands.
This story brings a knowledge of the reality of demonic powers at work in Morocco. But within that reality we can praise the Lord for how he is helping his people, who carry his light and hope, to share with families (like the one in this story). They desperately need to know that there was a sacrifice “Once for all” (Hebrews 9:28), and that they can receive his blood for themselves because he stands in authority on their behalf because of his sacrifice on the cross.
Praise the Lord for the authority he has over all darkness – all demonic forces – that must flee in His presence.
Take 30-60 seconds to quietly look at this photo.
What does it prompt you to pray for Morocco in this area of Jesus having authority over all things?
Take some time to pray out loud the things that God puts on your heart.
Demonic Activity in Morocco
Moroccans pursue demonic help through witch doctors, sorcerers, fortune tellers, dead “saints” or known spiritually powerful locations for many reasons. Although this is considered one of the greatest sins in Islam, this activity of “Folk Islam” is very common in Morocco.
The majority of these practices and beliefs are especially found among women.
(Consider, pray and continue when ready)
Moroccans seek help through demonic powers:
To curse or bring harm to others and to control others,
To seek blessings for a better life – a good spouse, better jobs, increase of finances – and to seek guidance
To remove curses or demonic possession, for physical or mental healing and to know the future.
Break the Chains
With all of this knowledge, take some time to pray and intercede for break through among those practicing and participating in Folk Islam.
Pray that the truth of Jesus’ authority over all things would become known, experienced and received throughout Morocco.
Pray for deliverance from demonic powers.
Speak out a proclamation of freedom, truth, hope and peace over Morocco.
Pray the Lord’s prayer over Morocco:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be treated with reverence in Morocco. Bring your kingdom to come, your will to be done, in Morocco as it is in heaven – there is no darkness in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive them their debts, as they also have forgiven their debtors. And lead our dear Moroccan friends not into temptation, but deliver them from evil. For your’s is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
Close your time of prayer today thanking Jesus for his authority and for how he is releasing that authority across Morocco today because of your prayers.
